Timi Dakolo, Mr. Eazi appointed as anti-tobacco ambassadors of Nigeria

The Federal Government of Nigeria has deemed the heads of two Nigerian singers worthy to be adorned with anti-tobacco ambassadorial crowns. The notable Nigerian singers include Timi Dakolo and Star Boy Worldwide Act, Mr. Eazi, who just got appointed by the federal government as anti-tobacco ambassadors alongside Saadatu Aliyu of the World Economic Forum’s Abuja Global Shapers Hub after they were discovered tobacco-free citizens.

According to a statement by the Ministry of Health, the appointment of these notable young Nigerian celebrities was to leverage their influence with young Nigerians and get them to keep away from tobacco-related substances just like the crowned ambassadors. The strategy has been applauded by parents, as the believe it'll go a long way to curtail indulgence in tobacco.

The appointment was part of the announcement by the ministry of a planned launch on June 15 in Abuja of a six months national tobacco control communications campaign. While some fans applaud them for living exemplary lives, some don't believe they are really free from tobacco. Timi was considered to possibly be free from tobacco. But the majority of fans don't believe Mr. Eazi is free. They say his bae's dad put him there in order to equip him to marry his daughter. Do you agree?
