The former Valencia star was seen as hot property last season and was also a Euro 2016 winner with Portugal over the summer that added a premium to his price-tag.
But 23-year-old Gomes has been a disappointment in Catalunya and has started fewer than half of Barça's La Liga games this season after failing to establish himself.
According to Spanish publication Don Balon, super-agent Mendes is taking steps to find a new club and has offered Gomes to a number of potential suitors. The GestiFute chief has strong ties to Real Madrid and so apparently hasn't shied away from contacting them as well.
Real were one of the clubs reportedly interested in Gomes before he wound up with Barça and Mendes seems intent on exhausting the options for a player whose market value is said to have fallen to just €20m since last year.
Real almost certainly won't take Gomes, though. Don Balon speculates that Bernabeu president Florentino Perez is thankful it was Barça and not his club that took the bullet and therefore isn't likely to try and land him now, notwithstanding the rivalry between the clubs.
