At last! Court grants Kemi Olunloyo N1m bail
Controversial media personality, Kemi Olunloyo can now heave a sigh of relief after a Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, on Tuesday granted the embattled daughter of former Oyo State Governor bail in the sum of N1million.
Recall that, Kemi who has been cooling her heels at Port Harcourt prison for the past four weeks wrote a letter about a week ago, lamenting her stay in prison forcing her to write a note revealing her sufferings in detention.
On the 31st of March, the decision to grant Kemi bail was overruled by a higher court denying her bail for the second time in two weeks.

The earlier ruling by the Magistrate Court was overruled by a Federal High Court sitting in Rivers State, denying Kemi freedom to go home.
A week before, Kemi’s bail hearing was stalled following the absence of a magistrate, Alatuwo Fubara, of the Port Harcourt Magistrate’s Court due to illness.
However, charges against Port Harcourt-based publisher, Samuel Walson, who was arrested on the same day with Kemi were dropped.
Kemi and Walson were both detained at the Port Harcourt prison following a petition written to the Nigerian Police Force by Pastor David Ibiyeomie of Salvation Ministries who claimed they both defamed by him after they both published online materials he claims were unfounded.
